“Your Future Needs You. Your Past Does Not.” (Part 2)

Last week, I wrote a bit on this topic. I continue with it this week. My mind is still cudding over the quote, how profound and helpful it is and can be. In fact, it can be life changing if you truly grasp it and apply it in your life. It simply could be life-freeing.

What could you possibly do about spilt milk or water? In the same way, there's absolutely nothing you can do or change about your past. It's set in concrete, the facts are set in stone, unchangeable. But your future, now that's a beautiful thing, you can create your own canvass or masterpiece from scratch.

You can visit old cities, modern cities, old ruins, beautiful places; but you can't change anything about them. However, you can come home inspired to create your own beauty according to your own environmental design. That's how your past doesn't need you, but your future does.

Have fun with the clean slate. Life should be fun, not laborious with the cares of the past. No point in stressing over the spilt milk or water; just watch your steps next time, so that you don't trip and spill your next milk or water when you get to this point on the road. Sometimes, you may forget the lesson learned from the spilt milk or water, and that's ok.

Most of our negative thoughts/emotions are sourced from the past. Let's leave them there. It's our future that's needing us, let's focus on it.

What are your thoughts? Does it make sense to you? Do you agree or disagree? Please share!
